Cameras have been placed on unexpected corners around the older, narrow roads of Littleover village. These aren’t to catch speeding vehicles but to help work out how much of the traffic using these roads are using them as a ‘rat run’ or short cut – and if so in which way.
They’ll probably be there less that 24 hours, and then the data from them will be analysed. The Council will then use this to help suggest ways to reduce heavy and speeding traffic through these streets.
